HP Laser Printer: A Review of the HP Color LaserJet CP1518ni Printer

!±8± HP Laser Printer: A Review of the HP Color LaserJet CP1518ni Printer

Looking for an HP laser printer that will provide all your printing needs is not difficult at all. HP has a great line-up of products that you can choose from, and you will always be able to find the perfect device for you if you know where to look. If you need a professional laser printer that's not just monochrome, the HP Color LaserJet CP1518ni Printer is one of your best choices. The following is an in-depth review of this unit.

Design

This laser printer has a nice and compact appearance that's unlike other similar models. It's quite compact, actually, but it is heavy for its size. It has the dimensions of 15.7'' x 17.8'' x 10.0'' and a weight of 40 pounds. It can be easily placed in a nearby area but you can't place it too far from your computer because it doesn't have wireless connectivity, although it does have a wired network connection access through an Ethernet port.

The printer has a unique appearance and unlike other printers, it isn't shaped as a rectangular prism. Its dark gray body and light gray face has a nice, aesthetically pleasant shade and these colors don't show much weathering so you can easily maintain your printer. The navigation panel is found at the upper right corner of the front face of the printer, along with a two-line LCD which displays vital information while you're printing. It also makes printing without a PC easier because you can navigate optimally. The multiple memory card slots make it possible to print using only removable media storage devices.

Printing and Other Features

This model has an excellent output quality which produces rich and vibrant images and illustrations. It's perfect for producing brochures and flyers with visual aids and pictures. It isn't as fast as other printers in producing output, but it can still print up to 12 pages per minute for black documents and 8 pages per minute for colored documents. The maximum resolution for both black and colored printouts is 600x600 dpi.

It does not have an automatic duplex printing function but it has a manual driver support which you can use to manually install the program for this function. The 96 MB internal memory allows you to print complex documents with several images, pages, and colors, or even print several documents in one setting and just leave the printer until it finishes printing all the documents.

Paper sizes of letter, legal, executive, and envelopes can all be used on the printer. The device has a duty cycle of 30,000 pages, so you can do an average of 1000 pages of printouts daily and not have any trouble with the machine. It also has two paper trays - a priority feed slot for a single sheet, and a sheet input tray which has a capacity of 150 sheets.

Other Features

You can use the printer with other several computers as long as they are all connected to a single network. The printer isn't wireless, though, and you have to make sure that the printer is always connected to the computer especially with its Ethernet cable whenever you print from other computers. The best thing about this printer is that it's Energy Star qualified so it's not only you who benefits from using it, but also Mother Nature.

Conclusion

This HP laser printer has a lot of great features and functions that many consumers admire. One undesirable feature of this printer, though, is its excessive ink use which can lead to spending hundreds for ink alone. But if you don't mind spending a lot for such an excellent printer, then I highly recommend that you get the HP Color LaserJet CP1518ni Printer. It's not only easy to use, but it's great for printing as well, so you will be sure to get the best color laser printouts for your business, professional, or personal documents.

Lexmark C544 Toner Review

!±8± Lexmark C544 Toner Review

The Lexmark C544dn is just the latest in a long series of very striking color printer laser Lexmark. A little 'too big to function as a printer really personal, it's really a small office, workgroups or busy home office, with enough paper to use, speed fast enough, and relatively high quality.

One of the best features of the C544dn is the ability to manufacture paper. The typical 250-sheet manual feed tray on the one hand, and Duplexfor printing on both sides of a page should be sufficient for many small offices. Need more? A 900-sheet is just around the corner, with the optional 550-sheet input tray and a 100-page multipurpose tray.

Setting the C544dn is a hint unlike most color laser printers. This particular printer is small enough for a color laser, measuring just 11.5 by 16.7 by 15.7 inches (HWD), and also quite easy, at 46.2 pounds, so it is veryeasier to move in position relative to most of its opposition. On the other hand, there are a lot more work than usual in the removal of packaging materials involved. It is necessary to remove a side panel, remove the toner cartridge, then everything fits. Further steps are not very difficult, but worth it definitely needs than most printers.

On test performance, the C544dn shot in respective times for the motor output at 25 pages per minute (ppm) in terms ofmonochrome and color.

The C544dn is better quality output is a short step to describe exceptional. Graphics and photo quality are both able to better manage the problems of most color laser printers, though not to the best available. Text quality is slightly below average for a laser, but still good enough for almost any purpose.

More than half our test fonts were easily readable text to 5 points, with some qualifying at 4 points. TheMost of the writings that qualifies as easily readable at 5 points, as well trained and qualified, but you need 6 points to pass through the well-formed because of the problems of tolerance character spacing. Also, if you have a highly unusual request for perfectly sculpted figures in small sizes, you should be more than happy with the quality of the text C544dn.

Graphs seem to be much better, in general, which is obtained from many color laser, although a small mis-registration -A few blocks of color are not completely aligned, so that a small piece of white in their midst. I also noticed a few 'minor dithering in the form of crackling in various colors and posterization, with shades of changing suddenly where it should change gradually, but almost nothing I would call to complain seriously. A lot of people will certainly consider the quality sufficient for everything up to the marketing material such as one-page handouts andMailer.

Image output was also higher than most color laser printers can handle. Some colors of red, were in particular some images were a bit 'in a realistic range, but most of the photos almost the same with the originals. Assemble them into a frame behind glass, and managed to conventional images of the past few meters. As for graphics, most certainly considered quite easy to pull ads.

The Lexmark C544 toner of four are singleCartridges as well as in two volumes. The high-performance editions provide the best relationship with the black (C540H1KG) to 2,500 pages and then designed the color cartridges at 2,000 pages.
